Boot methods

"PS2 CD-R Mode 2
1) In case PS2 CD backups do not work on Mode 1.
2) Eject, insert AR2/GS2. Press Reset to get the tray back in, ps2 will go on Standby Mode.
3) Press and hold Reset until PS2 CD Backup Mode 2, release Reset button.
4) When tray self ejects, swap to CD-R. The autorun feature will do everything else game will start."

This method is kind of confusing!!!!!! What's the The autorun feature? My tray never self-ejects, why? Can someone please clarify a little more into the steps? Just do it step-by-step so I (newbie) could understand it.

Does a boot method change for every game? How do I know which boot method mopst games use? I use the normal one(without self-eject) and my games work fine! However, the only game tha did not work is Ridge Racer V. Everything is fine with the CD-R but somehow, the screen goes black when I load from AR2.

***Did anyone tried Ridge Racer V (burned) on the PS2 (with modchip) and it worked??? Which boot method did you use?

Thanx,
Nino
