Hello all,
I've finally gotten myself a pair of frigging speakers (and for free! My brother works for a company that manufactures the speakers and got them for free), but I've encountered what could be considered a very peculiar problem. The speakers, JVC model SP-HXZ1, were actually sold as spare parts for a mini-component system (JVC HXZ1R). There are four wires that are bare (no plugs, just exposed wires), and I'm not sure if a receiver or amplifier would take those as a hi-fi would ("clamps" that snap onto the exposed wires) In short, is there any way I could plug these speakers into a receiver/amplifier (since there are no plugs)? I'm sorry to place this off-topic post here, but I just can't find any sound-system-specific sites that I can post on. I'd really appreciate any help I can get here.

Hope to help....
HHmm... i think i can help...easy, actually... go to any audio shop...
buy some plug converter for your amp input(not sure about the name though) but u can ask about the tech guy...sure he'll know... Just tell him you want to connect an open positive and negative audio wires to an input to your amp(eg. RCA,Plug,....) or your can describe the type of input your amp accept.. I hope i can help....cause i'm too using this type of converter or plug to my amp....saves the time to solder the plug....just stick it in and clamp it....

Thanks Hwoarang45 (BTW, I think your namesake is one of the most effective fighters in Tekken -- one of the few I could use to beat Tekken Force. I know: like you even care
![]() Anyway, thanks for the advice. I'll be heading to the audio shop as soon as I can find the time (doubtful though, with Christmas coming up, and me being the only man in the house available to carry the darn pine tree and help lug the tons' worth of presents, Then there's the turkey, and the decoration, and...)
