Adventure Pinball no-CD patch wanted

Does anyone have (or know where I can get) a no-CD patch for Adventure Pinball: Forgotten Island?
Alternatively, can someone tell me what protection the CD uses? (I have the original, but want a copy for backup purposes)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
