newbie needs some advice...please!!

this is my first post so i will keep it short. i reasearched as much as could about making a backup of a game, (combat flightsim 2 pacific, in question here) and floowed the instructions for a copy using clone lastest v3.2. i set up as specified read speed 1x, selected read sub. chnl frm data trks, and audio trks, also fast error skip set to retry 5, error corr. to none. made the image. then burned the cd at 12x selected rawdao, don't repair sub chnl the rest unchecked except close last session.
it wouldn't work and now the original disk won't work either. any ideas on my next move?
my equipment is a yamaha crw2100s scsi 16x 10x 40. (an athlon 1900xp @2000 with ocz 2700 cl2 mem on a shuttle ak31a board). do i need to reinstall the game to clear it and start over. but will the same thing happen?
