ps2 back-ups
hi all,
im wanting to know if i can use a pioneer dvd player and a plextor cd-r to back-up my games. yes i am the novice of all novices to this so after you all stop laughing at my question all help is VERY much appretiated. thanks again all for your help. uk_haj |

Sure you can use your Pioneer DVD player to read the PS2 DVD games and then rip them to a cdr with the Plextor

it can be fairly complex depending on what game you want to rip, for example onimusha warlords will be ripped on to 4 cds so that is quite alot of work. the tolls you need are an audio editor like cool edit, a video editor to change quality of movies, sony's cd\dvd creator which is hard to get hold of to make the lba and table of contents correct and isobuster or cdmage to extract files from a .bin and to insert files into a .bin
also a hex editor to change the code to allow the rip to boot on a cd rather than a dvd, for this you may need to find a tutorial to get the correct area for the code. SQWADDY
