No CD help (multiple games)
I recently bought a new pc and a bunch of games with it. Im sick of having to switch CDs so some searching brought me here.
So far i've downloaded and installed (following the instructions in the .nfo files) the no CD cracks for Far Cry, Battlefield vietnam and NBA live 2004. I own legit copies of all these games (and more... but i want to get some to work before I make all of them no cd). The problem is that not one of the games works without the cd, still. NBA Live won't even load at all, it just goes to a black screen. Battlefield and far cry still ask for the cds and work fine once i put them in. Im running a p4 3ghz, 1536mb ram and win xp. Any help would be appreciated. |

Ok, far cry works. But bf:v and NBA Live don't.
Lets talk NBA live. I downloaded the "No cd/ exe fix" for patch #2, which I have installed. The instructions say to extract into the folder and overwrite the old exe and play. I did all of that but when I try to start the game it asks for a disc... though the little popup that comes up is different than the old one. Any ideas? |

jop! only a fixed exe(commercial protection:safedisk is removed) so cd-check is even there. so u don't have a nocd fix! but i think i got a solution 4u, if i remember right, games like nhl must have a "fixed" registry maybe the same thing for nba series. if you want to test it just pm me cos i don't know if it is ok to post how to change the keys and the values....

Also, I have noticed with a few games, some developers are hiding the .exe file, make sure you dont just stick your exe in the main folder, you want to make sure that the shortcut on your destop is linking to the right file that you overwrote with the no-cd patch.
