i have just downloaded the rip kit for salt lake and it says take off read only attributes, could anyone please tell me what this is.

I never ripped a game but a files read-only attribute can be turned on or off by highlighting them then right clicking your mouse. Under attributes take the check box of read-only. This will allow you to edit the files.

After you have copied the dvd game to the folder you want it in, right click that folder, then click properties. Then you should see "Read Only" checked. Uncheck it. Click "Apply" it will ask if you want to apply to all subfolders and such. Click yes.
