Not specific, but more general: is there a way to pause Arc compression and return again?

If I wanted to stop overnight then begin the following day: is this possible?

I know you can click the command window and click "select" - perhaps doing this and then putting the computer to sleep would have the desired effect?

How Do I Restore The Files To Their Original State ?

What Would you suggest as an ultra compression method ?

Ctrl+S in a CMD window, or click on icon of the window, select edit and mark. After you mark the text, the process pauses. Pressing Enter will resume the window.

And yes, if you pause it that way and put it in sleep/hibernate - it will resume. Hibernation is guaranteed to resume properly, not so sure about sleep.

Thank you both, I was doubtful on whether it would work.

I had srep running on Batman Enemy Within for 5 hours with lolz still to go and I don't like the idea of leaving my computer unsupervised (I've seen too many photos of PCs catching fire).

Check the temperature of the processor during compression, if it does not exceed 60 degrees, there is no problem. I compress repeatedly without shutting down the computer for weeks.

I was having issues with the CIU during setup with that game using oggre. It would get to the ogg files which were packed in a .bra format and when it started processing them it would crash saying the files did not match checksum yet i was using original files plus in this case with this game oggre did not make much of a compression difference. i know i could have gotten it smaller but i would much rather trade off 50-100 mb of extra image size than have to constantly keep repeating the compression process each time trying to fix it when i would only be saving about 40-50 mb so in the end i felt i would cut my losses and just not use oggre on this game.
