packcmd = ZTool e:pzlib:m2:t8:st8:ct8:rx:x - - <stdin> <stdout>
unpackcmd = ZTool d:pzlib:t8 - - <stdin> <stdout>

and now i am using

packcmd = ZTool e:{compressor}{:option}:t75p:c128m Input - <stdout>
unpackcmd = ZTool d:{compressor}{:option}:t75p:cm0mb - - <stdin> <stdout>
datafile = Input

now it doesn't crash but your post caused me to try it again i had other things i was doing
