GameFix damn sucks!

I don't know if it is a coincidence but before, when fixes were hosted by GameCopyWorld, I could ALWAYS find updated NO CD\DVD fixes for my games (often the day after a patch was out).

Now just we can't. Most of the fixes now are just for 1.0 version of the game and are NEVER updated on GameFix. Just if we are VERY lucky we can find a single updated fix (maybe after the first patch) and then games are just forgotten.

This is really sad and very bad for GameCopyWorld that was well known to give us support in this sense.

EXAMPLE:
- original game
- before: the choice was between risking ruining the original CD\DVD or using the *updated* game fix we could find on GameCopyWorld. In both cases the game was updated, so GameCopyWorld in any case permitted us to preserve our original CD\DVD.
- now: the choice is between risking ruining the original CD\DVD BUT playing an updated\patched game or use the OLD game fix (with a game not updated or risking conflicts between the patch and the old .exe). In this sense the usefulness of GameCopyWorld is really reduced because, in my case, I would for sure choose the first thing.

GameFix hosts cracks for on-line activation games.
What's your problem?
You don't need a DVD on drive while playing the game.
If the game requires the DVD on drive, GCW usually hosts a image/mini-image someone created.
If you own the game and it has on-line activation, Activate It!

Man have you read the post? Because it doesn't seem at all.

Anyway whenever there is a game with the online activation there is no NO CD\DVD Image, so I couldn't do what you say (but the game requires the CD\DVD ON!!!).

Look, cracks/fixes/noCD/no-DVDs aren't create by GCW or GameFix or any other public website.
Those files are created by cracking groups and when those files reach the public, GCW, FileFix or any other site will hosts them.

It's not a GameFix problem the lack of cracks for every single game release/update.
If the crack/Fix/no-CD/No-DVD exists, GameFix will host it.

Yeah, sure, this is reasonable. But then try to explain me why before we could always found them on GCW and now not(/never)!

Am glad you're starting understanding the PoV I want to transmit you.

There's a long thread talking about on-line activation when Mass Effect came out.
In that thread, the mods defined along with the administration that GCW won't hosts any on-line activation game.

Although (you may search anywhere) crack groups are reducing the number of cracks released for on-line activation mainly games because that's a "countermeasure" for pirates and day-by-day the PC is becoming a casual-game-platform while many big tittles are heading only to consoles.
Other titles that uses old-fashion protection (requires DVD on drive always), get cracks more easily.
When you see a game with a new update and after 6 months there's no crack for it, means the group/person responsible for the crack lost interest in the game or stop playing the game. Some cracks reaches the public years after the last update.

Again, if the crack exists, GCW or GameFix will host them. And don't worry because GCW and GameFix has a lot of contributors to send those files.

And in the past they never lost interest in any game? It is just since few months that it is impossible to find (or almost) update fixes.

Jeezus..

Look its simple...

If there is a crack for an update for a game it will get hosted, if there is none there is none.. end of story.

If the crack bypasses online activations it wont be hosted on GCW but elsewhere.

Again, if no crack exists then you cant find one.. its that simple, GCW and other sites do not have people cracking games for them.

Man, the thing I was trying to understand is the following:
- why since just few months ago all cracks were always updated and then anymore?

That's not completely true, sometimes there are p2p cracks released by unknown groups that aren't linked to the "scene" and still work as expected. Some of them don't appear on gcw and neither gamefix nor antistarforce share them.

Look, check your facts. 5 years ago that was someting called Dox Scene. They were the people who were creating trainers, bringing cheats out and making cracks for patches. But those people started to disappear sloly, but surely. Real life got to them. Today's cracking scene, just doesn't bother to crack most of the patches. And this situation didn't occured 6 months ago, but more like 2-3 years ago. Back then there were, still, quite a few teams. Today we are left with Reloaded and ocasionally Razor 1911, Skid Row, Fairlight and what's left from Vitality. Pretty hard for a handfull of people to cover everything that comes out.
Online activation cracking was always banned from the cracking scene, being considered to border piracy. And not offering furter support, it's a bit of a message. You want full support, buy the game. With two exceptions, all the games that are requiring online activation, don't need a CD\DVD in drive.
Gamefix isn't exactly well regarded on GCW boards, as many are considering the fact that the site provides means for people that don't buy their games to play them.
And why the cracking teams don't make cracks for every single patch that comes out, what about contacting and asking them, if you know where? As nando stated, those people don't frequent public boards.

The last thing is totally false... example:
- GTA IV has online activation and DO REQUIRES CD\DVD inserted.

No one care creating a mini image for that game.
mini-images are created by user like you & me, in other word, contributors.
If you own the game and know how to create an image (using alcohol 120%, daemon-tools, Blindwrite, etc.) you can create one and send it to GCW.
