(Wrong forum, moved. Did you read the subforum rules at all?!)

The game has gone haywire: it's script was written incorrectly (but noone found it outyet), or you loaded in an incompatible save game, or your game files are corrupted. Re-install the game; apply the latest official update, if any, to it; and try again. If it doesn't work, well, bad luck, I guess, as it is too old to get official support for it... (?)

Or, as usual, see http://www.patches-scrolls.de for all kinds of patches for all PC games released in the last 13 years.

Quest for Glory IV

Thanks guys. I will try your suggestions, but since I am already playing on an old laptop that I have, and I have tried using the turbo (lowering it to 30%) and the game still crashes at this point, I do not think that reinstalling it and starting from the beginning again will help. I have been at this already for years, and have finally reached near the end, and there is no way that I am doing this again. Enough is enough!
