global ops v2.0 no cd Doesn't Work 4 me

Well the new global ops no cd patch for version 2.0(junix's and qber66 global ops.exe file link) doesn't work for me for some reason. What happens is that it opens and after the intro the whole screen becomes black and stays like that. So i i did something wrong can i get help but i did follow everything!!!

sorry this is a repost but needed to start a new thread as far as it not working and problems.

for starters, is your version of the game actually 2.0 ?

if not and youre applying a version 2.0 patch then it wont work all the time you got a hole in your backside !

heres what to do :

1. put the game disc in the cdrom and click my computer
2. now, right click on the drive the cd is in
3. click explore
4. you should have a readme file there
5. open up the file and at the beginning it should say something like GLOBAL OPERATIONS VER 1.0 or similar.
6. now you know the version of your game you can download from this site the appropriate patch.
7. make sure youre using the correct extraction tool that the patch is made of i.e winzip or winace etc
8. i believe the global ops patch is in the .ace format so you need winace to extract it.

to be totally honest i thought the game was awful , but each to their own and i wish you luck in getting it working.
