Ghost Masters
Question, Has anyone had any issues with GM that after installing the patches available on GCW the game will not load? After i install the game and the English patch the screen flickers a few times then dumps me to the desktop. Any help would be great thanks.

Yeah, I have tried the latest release and beta drivers. I think it might have to do with the patch. I have the american version of the game and the patch I belive is for the English(England) version. I am running a Geforce 4 TI4400.

Copy protection screws this game
I started a thread about this last week. There is no current crack for the U.S. version of the game.
Furthermore, the game executable is set up to detect any type of virtual cd-roms that you may have setup, either with clone-cd or daemon tools. I can not get my game to work with the official retail disc inside my "real" cd-rom. The game will not even start. This is not a hardware or driver issue, as I have the latest ati drivers for my radeon 9700. I also have a gig of memory and an intel 2.5 gig processor. With the crack, the game starts off and gets to the credits, then jumps out to the desktop. I wouldn't care so much about it not working with the crack, even though I do not like to pull out cd disc's of the games I play if they are playing off the hard drive anyway. I do feel that it is completely unacceptable that the game manufacturer did not mention that this game would not work on a computer with other completely legal software loaded on it. This should have been mentioned right on the outside of the package so I would not have spent the $30 on it that I did. I strongly recommend people to stay away from this game until either a patch comes out to fix this problem or somebody cracks it to disable the lousy copy protection which stops the game from working. |
