Star Wolves 2 - fixed exe does not work

Game works fine from original, no crashes. So this isnt a really big deal as I can play it from the original, but more of a heads up for you.

Install the game - Full Installation.
Replace the original STARWOLVES2.EXE & STARW2.DLL files with the ones from the File Archive.
Play the Game!

Game crashes randomly anywhere between 5mins and 1hr. From this crash most of the time I cannot recover the system and have to power off/on again. Sometimes task manager works, but most of the time it doesnt.

Ive got plenty of free space on my drive, and defraged.

No problems playing any other games using CD ,or no CD fixes, so pretty certain my PC's ok.

Again, not really much of an issue as I can play it from the original disc.

The crashes gets worse as you advance into the game from my experince. Play in a lower res and in a window to avoid rebooting your pc when a crash comes.

I never got much crashing. But then again, I was disappointed on what could have been great being just a rewrite with an old game engine.

So much money made on the last game, and they couldnt even hire good english voice actors. And the whole cutscene thing, it should go into pause mode so you dont right click a portal and fly through it mid cutscene.

Very very poor, even the old faces used in SW1 is the same damn ones lol

But the crack worked for me fine, just wish I could send this piece of crap back to 1C and let them know what I felt about the game.

Game still crashes randomly. I run it in window mode, and with the lowest graphic settings but this didnt seem to make any difference. I never played the first one.

I must admit though I've got really bored with it now though and have started replaying Dark Star 1.

Just an update.

The latest No Cd Crack (by PAKHAN) works fine, been using it for 2days now, about 10 hours worth of game play and only one crash (AVG started an automatic scan/update).
