Fable on win2k

Well, I purchased Fable: the Lost Chapters, forgetting that when microsoft distributes a game they usually force you into using their latest OS (Halo 2 on Longhorn only). In the past there's generally been a simple crack to get around this issue but I can't seem to find one.

Anyone know how to get Fable to run under win2k?

Does the original game - without a crack - work under Windows 2000; is Windows 2000 among the supported operating systems? (I don't have this game...) If not, I don't think crackers would like to/be able to fix that in their no-CD patch...

Solution: Boycott (and don't buy) Halo 2; gotta make those guys at Micro$oft understand (one of) the major problem(s) with their marketing politics...
