i hadda class on tolkien
he was a good writer he believed he was divinely inspired aloooooooooot of his writings reflect that of the bible his three upbringings were: -anglo-saxon lit (beowulf) -romanticism (wordsworth, etc..) -roman catholicism these 3 things made the structures of his belief it was no new idea but a synthesis of the three (also WWII, industrial revolution, his love for trees, etc..)
