Exclamation Sims 2 installing

i have had the sims far awhile and uni and nightlife and OFB. well i lost the second cd of uni so if anyone can help me with that(it's long gone) anyways then i was haveing some problems so i uninstalled and reinstalled everything-well tried to. my sims2 cd which has worked for YEARS!!!!! perfectly fine which i have kept clean and safe(away from sibilings) is now not working. it hasn't for a few months now and i have come crying to the only experts i know(you lol) when i try to install the sims 2 the first cd works but the second works till about 30% and then i get this message:" a problem occured when trying to transfer the file TSData\Res\Sound\Sfx2.package from the media. Do you want to retry to copy the file or cancel the installation? " i have retried like tens of times but i always get the same message after a few minutes tho the percentage goes up to 36% or even higher.

i then tried manual installation and that didn't work either-if anyone has any ideas or can tell me that my cd is crap for sure then i would appreciate it

1st part is against the rules. Talk to the publisher about acquiring a new set of discs from them.

2nd part, good chance it might be your drive is not reading it right rather than the disc itself being bad.
