i read somewhere that neo4.0 is out and with this ya dont need no boot discs or anything....
alls ya have do is take your copied game put it in and play no cowboy things to do or nothin very easy.... is this true? can ya get a external mod chip with this version 4.0.? where can ya buy it? |

the neo 4 is shit.
44 wires to solder, and all it does is cdr without swap. you still have to swap for DVD-R, it won't play import originals either. messiah is slightly more expensive, only 23 wires, and boots cdr, dvd-r, import originals without any swap at all.

depends on how you want to see it. neo 2.2 is only 8 bucks or so at least, while the neo 4 is 60-80.
8 or 80 for a shit chip makes quite a diff :P

I just recently got into the whole modding scene, and I bought the Origachip and its plays original imports, without swap, and cd-r's and dvd-r's with the gameshark swap. it was only 35 bucks so I don't think it was that bad. Now if I could only install it......

yeah, the origa is a good chip, and the only decent alternative to the messiah.
forget the entire neo series or no solder crap, get either an origa (or clone), or a messiah.
