I h0pe a louder fan doesn't mean it's lifespan will be shorter or anything. Also, if anyone could help, it would be great:

1) What's the best modchip to get (and where can I get it) for a V7 - I was going for a Magic V, but now that I have a V7, I'm thinking about an M2 or DMS3

2) I heard dust can damage the PS2 - is there any way to prevent that from happening, and if not, what's the best way to clean the dust out?

3) If you mail a PS2 to an installer to put in a modchip, is it possible for them to switch the laser or any other parts on you without you knowing (ex. they take my V7 laser and put in a V9 or whatever.) I dunno, I got trust issues...

Much appreciated

now when you talking about fans.
Is it possible to use a v9/v10 fan in a older ps2 like mine v5 without overheating it or anything like that?

The fan in v5 is way to loud in my opinion.
