WarCraft 3 1:1 Backup

Hi all, I posted a message in a previous thread but I don't think anyone will look at it since it's a little older. Anyways, I have been reading ALL the posts on making a 1:1 backup copy of WarCraft 3 and noticed that everyone with a LiteOn LTR-24102B (like me) who was following the supposedly working methods (either CloneCD with ClonyXXL or Blindwrite) was having troubles making a working backup. I am having the same problems. I updated my firmware to the latest (S5A) of off LiteOn's website, then tried everything again and still no luck. I have wasted about 6 CD's now and while CD's are cheap, I don't want to spend hours and hours trying if it is just not possible, or if I am doing something wrong all the time. I have tried BlindWrite with default settings, CloneCD with default Game settings, CloneCD with ClonyXXL's Securom *new* settings, and ClonyXXL with "don't repair subchannel data" checked on as well, all to no avail. Every time I get the same problem: when I try to run any exe file on the backup CD, Windows (XP Pro) gives me an error message "this file is incomplete or corrupt". If anyone has any tested solutions or any ideas for us legacy LiteOn users I would really appreciate it. What bugs me is that as far as I know the 32x and 40x LiteOn drives are no different except for maybe firmware, and I have heard success stories with those drives. =)

Athlon T-Bird 1.2
ASUS A7V MB
384 MB PC133 CAS2 RAM
GF2 GTS 64MB
Windows XP Professional
LiteOn LTR-24102B 24x10x40 CDRW
ASUS 40x CDROM

By George it worked!

Thanks VLuka, you da man! It works like a charm. I was under the impression that the LiteOn bug was fixed, but guess it is still lurking in CloneCD. Anyways, it worked but I was wondering in CD Mate why the Sub/RAW write mode was grayed out so I couldn't select it? My burner is capable of that I know, hmmm...

Anyways I appreciate it. Thanks!

BlindWrite?

Also, any ideas on why BlindWrite didn't work? I read a bunch of posts that said BlindWrite with default settings should have done the job.

The problem with the 24102b drives have with Securom 2 isn't burning the disc it is reading it. CloneCD doesn't report any read errors but Some other burning apps show a read error right at the end of reading the disc. It doesn't seem to matter what version of CloneCD or firmware you use, the 24102b just doesn't read it right. I now use my Toshiba DVD drive to read all securom 2 discs and they burn without any problems.

What drive do you have - it's the Lite-on's that are affected by the bug
