• STEAM version: Beware, game files will have a different hash sum after conversion. Game archives have to be converted to apply compression. Unfortunatelly there is no way to convert them back to original. Game working fine!
• STEAM version: DiskSpan.bat will convert all neccessary game files automatically
• STEAM version: DiskSpan.bat will backup your original files to GAMEFOLDER\_Backup
• Tested with game version: 1.10 (+ Mooncrash DLC)
• Compression Time: 2 hours
• Install time: ~30 - 40 minutes
• Conversion size: 18.7GB (1 Language)

1. Download and extract the archive to somewhere (over the rainbow~)
2. Go to GAMEFOLDER\Localizations, move all language files you don't need to a backup folder somewhere outside the game folder (if other languages exists) or just delete them
3. Start DiskSpan.bat, type in game directory, press Enter
4. Wait for finish
5. Have fun

As always test before burn on DVD!
Extract archive with WinRAR5+ or latest 7-zip!

I was able to fast up installation time to ~45 minutes (before it was ~1 hour).

PS: 4xDVD5 is possible too i think, but in this case you must

1) use lolz with right settings (first and last archive was compressed with srep+lzma before and last disc size was about 300mb (without redist). Now last arcive use m1 instead, it doesn't make a difference in Disc number anyway). Only reason i didn't do that was it takes a whole day.
Anyway, lolz is included in both compressor and setup.exe (if you want to give it a try).
Don't forget to change Data# settings inside DiskSpan.bat (sizes!)

or 2) replace Credits.bk2 with a small other bk2 file (f.e. startup_loop.bk2). in this case you must change Data1 compression from lzma2 to lzma and Data3 from m1 to srep+lzma. Furthermore you must edit archive sizes for Data2 and Data3 inside DiskSpan.bat.
At least for english language it could work with 4xDVD5.

PPS: If you want to update the game via steam (or a p2p xdelta), you must restore all files from _backup directory. In case of steam, it will download the whole game again because archive hashes have changed, xdelta will fail obviously because of hash mismatches. Note that!

And make sure your game folder looks like this

PPPS: If you working with a repack version which has already decrypted files, choose "Y" (Yes) if DiskSpan.bat asks you if you have already converted game files in the beginning!

But the mooncrash dlc cant't start from icon in desktop.
And it produce 7xdvd5

I’ve tried this on the mooncrash version and goes for few minutes and then get message says can’t find files. So installed to different drives see if that helps and all the same thing so not sure if my game at fault or diskspan not like it ?

You need to have both the base game and mooncrash dlc installed into same folder (look the image in post #2). This is the official way.

Maybe I will do a version for Mooncrash DLC only.

It should be compatible with GOG version.

Send me GOG registry and I can update the setup.

However, conpression should work fine because steam and gog are the same (except for some binaries and registry).
