yes i got a problem with my car stero system i have 2 400 wat jl audio w3's which hit hard and a sony xplode 1200 watt amp it was working great for about a year and now when i play the system at bumb range it will hit real hard then not hit as har then hit hard and it dose this back and fourth like sometimes it seems like when i hit my brakes it his harder then when i take off it dose i dont know what the problem is if it could be the wireing or the amp or something i cant figer it out i went to a car audio place they said my amp could not handel the speakers and said i should by a jl amp from them i think they just wanted a sell cause when i first got that amp i put it on max and screwed one speaker up by over watting and makeing a plat that holds the speaker to the fram come lose but i fixed that with super gule so i keep the amp down to mid ways on out put so it wont hurt the speakers and it worked fine for the longest and just started doing this about 4 months ago have u guys had it problems like this b4 and maybe do u think its in the wireing

BG is on a distinguished road
Where did you connect the ground wire for the amp? On a wire in the car, on the floorpan, or on a bolt near the tailights?

This would be my first guess....

The best way to check is to take a voltmeter and see how man volts you have at the amp, and then see how may volts you have at the amp while someone hits the brakes....
