Settlers 4 nocd doesn't work

Hello,
I have applied the 1516 patch and used the 1516 exe file. I have also run a patch file that supposedly fixes the exe file.

However, when I run the program, it will ask for the CD prior to entering battle. Even if I have the CD in the cdrom drive it will state that the cd is not found. I press OK and it takes me back to the battle's introductory screen. It does not even seem to be looking for the CD.

I have even tried using betablocker on my backup copies with no luck.

You mean you're using the v2.50.1516 proper crack by Drunk? Have you read the installation notes in the .nfo file?

Yes, and it did not work.
Anyway, there really is no point in copying over those files from the original discs. Also, the map and snd directories are located on my trojans cd so that would not even come in to play here.

Well perhaps they are needed to be localised.

That is probably why its asking for the media, cause the files are missing where it thinks it should be.

You know instructions in nfo files are put there for a reason, you just dont decide to say "hmmm maybe the way I think it should be done would be better" after all you didnt make the crack :P

yes, that is true. Here is the directions, "copy
S4\Config, Map, Snd and Video dirs from all your Settlers 4 CD-s
to the gamedir..."
I had thought that this meant from my main S4 CD's. This is why it was not working for me. What I found out, is to copy those folders from the Trojan disc. So, this was a bit confusing to me which is why I questioned why I needed to copy over the directories from the original discs piecemeal like. So, please dont be snippy with me again.

You would know if I was snippy. Besides look at the end of the 3rd sentence, see the ":P" I wonder what that means.
