HI there matey.

Firstly, forget PlayBackup. If you have it installed, the latest version of Safedisc2 won't run at all.....it's blacklisted.

Get your head around Daemon tools. It isn't that tough to understand.

Post some more details on what's troubling you, and we'll see what we can do.

(BTW, don't forget to mention what burner(s) and software you're using)

okley dokley mate.

1. Install Daemon tools and run it so that the daemon symbol is in your taskbar (bottom right of screen)
2. Right click on the symbol and you'll get a pop-up window.
3. Go up to "virtual cdrom", then across to "device 0:[V] no media", and finally to "mount image"
4. Left clink and you should get a window marked "select new image file"
5. Browse until you get your cloneCD image file (image.ccd or similar) and click on "OPEN"
6. Your image file is now mounted as is it was a cdrom on Daemon's virtual cdrom.

You can install and run from it. If you're still having probs, ensure your daemon tools version is 2.79 at least and re-post

Once your image file is mounted, there is no need to create a cdr backup as you can run the game from this mounted image (which is of course on your HD)
There is no need to burn anything.
Creating a 1:1 working copy of SD2 is hardware related. Your burner cannot handle the special patterns found on these discs, so you can read it, just not burn it properly. You could try betablocker which alters these areas. Some titles and burners it works with, others it won't.
Thus if you're not bothered about having a cd copy, then just run from your image on your HD using Daemon tools. But if you really want a 1:1 copy, there are other options which give patchy results.
