missing file in sacred plus nocd?

i just tried the outcast sacred plus nocd for english/russian. it seemed to work fine got everything installed correctly but the rar file left out the last step the key.reg file. does anyone know if it will ever be fixed or replaced?

There's an easier way for No-Cd than this patch (which requires the Russian upgrade)

* download the 'Sacredv.1.8.2.126NoCDFixedexeAll.rar' crack from http://gamecopyworld.com/ , its the 'Sacred v1.8.2.126 (v1.8.26) [CZECH] Fixed EXE' file, (only the dll and exe file matter, you can delete the org file)

* do a clean install of Sacred

* run the official 'sacred_eng_1.8.2.6_full.exe' upgrade

* In 'C:\Program Files\Ascaron Entertainment\Sacred\' rename 'sacred.exe' to 'sacred.org'

* extract 'Caf.dll' and 'Sacred.exe' into 'C:\Program Files\Ascaron Entertainment\Sacred\'

* run the game, it will fail with an error message first time (sacred.exe has been modified)

* Now you can play! (run it again)

thanks for the help. by the way, you wouldnt happen to know what this error is for? all of the sacred version patches above plus give me this error.

btw i run windows xp home, just recently bought a new computer, so this type of error is new to me.

This has nothing to do with gaming! But it is a common problem! The most likely cause was after installing Sp2. You will find help on how to fix it here
If you want more info on the error, then type the whole error message into google! You will find heaps of results! There is a windows Knowledge base article about this error. Find it here. Its an easily fixed problem!

i hate to keep this topic going but one last question. in those articles it says to create readme files with notepad for steps 7-17 that has the same filename as the broken files and move them into the system32 folder yet nothing is replaced, should i delete the originals and the system will use the readmes or is there something ive missed?

Probably the easiest thing for you to do is:
Go to this site http://www.visualtour.com/downloads/default.asp
Scroll down to the 2nd article, download the Xp_fix.exe (Dated 07/29/2004 - 140kb) and install it.

This installaton program will reinstall the missing or corrupt Windows XP system files command.com, autoexec.nt and config.nt. The absence or corruption of one or more of these files causes a "16 Bit Subsystem" error.

We recommend that you download this file and save it to your desktop or to another location where you can find it. Double click on the file to run it once it's downloaded. If problem reoccurs in the future, simply re-run this program.

ok i used your method but the game starts i cant see any movies and the charachters and options in menu are not readable the mouse icon dosent appear anybody know how to fix this problem?
