Mwitters Did No Pirate Anything!

hi, I live in bahrain and am a good friend of mwitters and i cannot find the first blitzkrieg to buy here the first one is the only online one, mwittrers he has BH and i can find that at the stores in Bahrain so we wanted to see if the mp patch he found on here would work to play BH online. then he says you accuse him of being a pirated and ban him. you should not make assumptions and be rude to someone when you don't know what your talking about.

mwitters sent me a PM, asking me to "prove" that he ain't a pirate. I told him that I cannot do that as I don't know him. I also told him that, especially as a forum member who has been around for _quite_ a long time, he should have learnt by now that moderators jump on the expression "I/he/she/we/they don't have an original copy" or equivalent and that everyone is banned for such warez talking. No exceptions - not even senior members, as it has been pointed out before!

Yes, I understand that it is a very uneasy situation for both of you. What I do _not_ understand is why you are surprised at the result of something that is definitely considered not welcome here.

Like _I_ have been around for a long time (actually, if I'm not mistaken, I've been around here more than anyone else, except for the moderators) and I've _never_ been banned. Why? Because I don't do anything stupid, it's this simple...

One request to BountyWarrior though: I hope mwitter's ban is temporary, is it? I think two weeks of, khm, "mandatory absence" should be (more than) enough for a lesson... Thanks,

You and Mwitters explain that you cannot find Blitzkrieg, Mwitters tried to help you pirate it. Just after getting a 2 week ban for admitting to pirating another game. (oh yah, I forgot, its ok to pirate if you intend to buy the game another day).

You should not make assumptions (that we're idiots) and be rude to everyone when you don't know what your talking about.

mwitter's ban WAS temporary, yes. It is now permanent. He has failed to see thus far what he did wrong and I'm tired of trying to make the blind man see. If he's really been on this board so long, that makes it even worse because he still doesn't seem to understand our rules, especially the no warez talk rule which we've had since about day one (or atleast 2001). I couldn't care less who's been pirating games or not, just don't talk about it here. mwitters did. he got the same slap on his wrists (two week ban) as everyone else. The problem seems to be that mwitters somehow thinks that his being here for two years makes him somehow more justified to breaking the rules than a newbie who just logged in. I (and the other mods) beg to differ. He's now being permanently banned, not for his original offense, but for his keeping denying he did anything wrong and his attitude that he should be allowed to do whatever he pleases. Making another account when you're already banned is a banning offense too, so he's going down too for the one he made to send me his two last snooty pm's.

Let this be a warning for everyone involved : the longer you are a member here, the more you are expected to conform to the rules and not break them, not the other way around. It's bad enough when thousands of people make their account for the first time, skip reading the rules and make their first post a banning offense, it's worse when someone who should know better does it and then has the gall to claim he's being unfairly prosecuted. Keep the drama queens for another board.
