NTSC (black and white)

Hi all,

Just got a copy of MLB 2002 and Triple play 2001 Both U.S versions.

They work fine on my Chipped Psx aroung my house but when i took my playstation around my mates and played them on his T.V they where all Scrolling and in Black and white.

Is this down to the T.V as i find this very strange as the playstation is still outputting the same signal regard less of the T.V.

Because of the B/W problem, I've concluded that the PS2 isn't putting out the same signal irrespective of the TV or indeed of the country of origin. Others on the forum might have gone into the science of PS2 coding and modulation detection but as I understand matters, the NTSC or PAL string is what determines playback modulation. Becasue I can never get those patches to work, I use the Maplins NTSC-PAL convertor and carry it around if I take import games with me!

Good luck Deano.
