Installshield cab files

Hey,

I searched hrough the forum and find out about the installshield cabs, i know that you can extract them or insert a file in the cab with i6comp. Is there any way to compress these cab files and remake them installshield compatible?

That works only with Installshield itself.

Hi,

you can easily open CAB archives with a standalone tool called InstallShield Cab File Viewer included in the Installshield package. Its spread on the web.Afaik the latest CAB archives (version 10+) can not be opened with i6comp anymore.

greets
