Need For Speed Shift

Is anyone else having crash issues? I can just freeze after changing an option like rims or paint, or after a race waitin for the next one in a series. I've got an AMD phenom 9950, 4 gig o ram, 3 terabytes of HD space my Vista64 boot drive is a Raptor, and my W764bit is a Western Digital 1 tera Black edition. 4.3ms seek. I've got a 4870x2 ATI video card. All drivers are upto date. The mobo is an Asus Crossfire 2 and I use the onboard sound. I've applied the v1.1 patch for the game. Sooooo that all being said I don't think it's a hardware or performance issue. It will do it in both op systems. I've disabled in compatibilty issues desktop compositions and visual themes. I have tried shutting everything off that I can except the manditory items. Any help would be great. I love this game, even if most of the tracks I've seen b4. Realizm is great but novalty is also nice.

Tanks in advance
Dirty
