Help ! 50 To 60 Hz from burned cds

Hi, here's my problem, I've got some DC Selfboot Cds wich turned to 50 Hz. I want to use the technic of changing hexedecimal part that control that, but I don't succeed in doing that. I use Hex Workshop and It doesn't want to open an image file .cdi I made from my cd ( too big ), I think the part is in 1stread.bin, but I don't know how to change that and reburned the cd when it's got 2 or more tracks.
I've try to apply .ppf patch on my game, but it has never work with pffomatic or ppf2. Has someone succes in creating an image from a cd and patch it with a ppf? If so, what format of image and what software did you used?
I would appreciate some help here, THX!
