Problem with FF7 patch(no-cd)

Hey there, i got a Patch(No-Cd Crack) for my FF7 from megagames.com (it's called FF7Riva.zip).
When i use the the "Patch.com" it says:
Quote:
Opening File : [ ff7.exe ]
Searching Progress: .....

Error: bytes not found
closing file

press a key to exit
And it creates "*.p" filetypes into my FinalFantasy folder.

If i try to start the game, there pops up a blackscreen (no message like "insert cd1 ...") and then it throws me back to my desktop.
Any hints or solutions where the problem could be?

Thanks for reading and think of possible solutions

edit: allready tried "refreshlock"

That patch is not for your version of the game; read the patch docs. Also, are you sure this is a no-CD patch; can't it be some fix for nVidia Riva video cards (it has a suspicious file name!)?

On GameCopyWorld is listed that FF7 does not have a copy protection.
Please scan the game files with Protection_ID or Aray Scanner and tell us the results.
If it's only a simple CD-Check, then perhaps Joe, CDKiller or BarryB can help you....

I made a NoCD myself for the FFVII v1.4 unofficial XP Patch!

I've uploaded both XP Patch and NoCD to Rapidshare, try it and see if it works for you:
