???Confused???

Some people say it is possible to copy Dreamcast games and some people say you can't. Some people say you can if you have a GD rom burner you can copy. Does this mean all of you out there who are successful in burning these games have GD rom drives? Anyways, I find this hard to believe. If it is at all possible I would like to know if there is a way to burn DC games using HP 8200 burner and CDRWin. Thanks.

no you can't
those of you who have gdrom burners must have some really good connections in the underground gaming world.(joke)
i think what you may be thinking of is connecting your dc to pc through a serial port connection, then in fact you have access to a gdrom and yes can rip games yourself.
if you have a highspeed connection then there are better alternatives, but if you are on a modem 56.6 or share computers with others etc... then ripping is better for that scenario.
the 8200 hp i have as well mine is an external with usb connection, this burner will not read a gdrom disc (original dc game disc) as a matter of fact no cd type of hardware can read the latter portion of the gdrom disc format (only gdrom drives can) . or like the myth goes only drives (like that thingy the yamaha scsi 410t which was converted to a gdrom reader through a firmware update based on the fact that gdrom technology is proprietary to sega and was developed by yamaha for them etc...) anyways at this point i don't give a monkeys ass about ripping because making backups of your owned originals games is easier by acquiring the images of your games on different areas of the web. Again iso's we can't disclose locations but they are out there if you know where to look.

i think that says it all
