ps2 backups in general HELP NEEDED

How do I open a DOS-Box/MS-DOS amd how do I patch the game to play without being chiped,Ive read about using patches but need It explayed in verry simple terms PLEASE HELP ME. CHANGA

If I want to back up a PS2 GAME can I use any other GAMES patch or do I need to macke my one for each game I copy and if so HOW IN SIMPLE TERMS PLEASE and write slowly I cant read verry fastthanks CHANGA

And If so how do I do this.Ive tryed useing cdwin,fireburner,ppf-studio,pal4u2k and game jack wth no sucsess.If It can be done(HOW)please tell me what Im doing wrong,and in plain english how to get it right.And how to use the patches correctly,(Im verry new at console game back ups.I can back up PC games no problem but PS2 Im completly in the dark. PLEASE CAN ANY ONE HELP ME.
