Anyone successfully rip Quake3 or Vigilante 8? (CDDA GAMES)

Please someone help with this. Theres nothing wrong with my cable or comp (i ripped pro skater 2 and shenmue on first try) but when i try quake3 or vigilante 8 (CDDA) i get a bunch of random characters.

thanx. i got vigilante 8 last night. used to hate cdda games now i love em! i just ripped the first and last track and put in my own wav music
