help with extracting rips

I use the dream rip prog and get a big trackxx.iso.gz file then I use the g unzip program and get another file from it then I extract the file and on the ms dos prompt window I see all the files and sizes of the files but when it goes ino the windows folder all the files have 0 bytes,Any idea why?

you didn't rip all the way, use the macro to make sure you get all the files. you should get like a track03.iso.gz, track04.raw.gz, and track05.iso.gz (most of the time anyway) discard the track4, as it is just the "this game is intened for the sega dreamcast" message. Un-GZIP the track 3 and 5, (make sure you wrote down the sector offset of the second data track (track 5). if you didn't, your gonna have to rip again) then you type extract track03.iso track05.iso 123456 (where 123456 is your iso sector offset thing). The first track you get is just the TOC which contains data about all of the files on the disc. when you extract with both isos, it gets the file info data out of the first track and the actual files out of the second (why you ended up with 0 byte files)
