Making Backups of original games

Hi all, I read the article from big papa about backups. I might be wrong but it all seems to refer to already copied games. What would someone use to make a backup of an original game? Or can it be done easily?

ok this has been answered a million times already on this board, just look around.
No you cannot copy an original dreamcast game unless you rip the cd yourself, and i am not going to even get into that (look around for that)
