DVD Region X problems - UK

Can anyone help me?

I have a new V4 PS2 with the official Sony DVD remote (V 2.10 drivers) and a non-Sonny 8MB memory card.

I tried to use the DVD Region X and it has locked my memory card and stopped the remote from working. I can load games, but not save to the card. (This is really annoying as I have put a lot of hours into GT3 and GTA3)

I have tried the codes from the DVD Region X website, but these don't work. To further confuse matters, the DVD Region X keeps saying that the DVD drivers are the old 1.30 E, not the new ones.

Can anyone please help me as I am not at all happy.

Thanks.

Its not very often that someone posts a reply to their own message which offers a solution, but here goes...

I think I have a solution (if you live in the UK)
I have spoken to Datel and they told me that in some cases, the DVDR-X can corrupt memory cards.

They are offering a free service where you can send your memory card and DVDR-X to them and they will try to unlock your card and get your saved data back. They will also update the drivers.

Their phone number in the UK is:
(01785) 810 800

It should take approx. 1 week for the whole process. I'm going to try and send it recorded delivery just in case!

Hope this helps
