Sonic Adventure ripping Jap voicefile!

Hi all,

I want to rip the Jap voicefile from Sonic Adventure USA KALISTO.

I extracted the original BIN file using CDMage.

I removed the EVENT_ADX.AFS (JAP voicefile, there is a EVENT_ADX_US.AFS with all the same voices in english) file manually, replacing it with a 0byte dummy of the same name.

I now rebuilt the iso with dir2boot in .cdi form, but it only goes to the Sega screen, then bounce back out in the bios.

What could be wrong? Maybe I need to binhack 1ST_READ.BIN and/or IP.BIN? In that case can someone be nice and explain to me how to do this, since I have no experience in this field.

I appreciate help on this issue alot, and really hope someone can help me. I want to make it work excactly the way stated above as a selfbooting .cdi without jap voices.
