PSX backups/ PS-X-CHANGE confusion

I use CloneCD to burn all my back up-games. They play great in my Emurayden PSX emulator on my PC. I than try it in my PS using PS-X-Change and it doesn't work. I wait for the "please insert import game and press start" screen and switch that out with the back-ups I made and jit start, but it won't start. the spins and everythin' but the screen stays at the "please insert import game and press start" screen. Everything I've read has said that PS-X-Change will play both imported and back-up games. I'm at a loss as to what to do? Any help, much appreciated.

PS-X-Change has worked for every game I have tried.
What games have you tried to backup and what media did you use?
Have you tried playing the originals once you have booted to the PS-X-Change cd?

the games so far are Lunar:Silver Star Story Complete & Vagrant Story. The originals still work just fine. I used CDClone to burn them onto Sony CD-R discs at x2 speed. i made the backups with Iso Producer. i'm wonderin if I should use a different cd format, I heard somewhere that might effect it. Like i said it works great in my PSX emulators. I load it up in my PS and the disc spins and everythin, but the screen just stays on the please insert import game and press start. at first I thought it my be my playstation, it was an old one, so tried it with my others and still the same thing happens. I have 3 regular PS's and a PSOne. Tried em all. thanks in advance.

Both are not protected and CloneCD is not a good program to use for backing up non-protected games.
Why have you even bothered to use something like ISO Producer?
All you need do is backup your originals using the trial version of Goldenhawk's CDRWin (This program was expressly created to backup PSX games, leave ALL the installed defaults as they are when the program is installed)

Clone CD and Alcohol 120% are also very good alternative but remember CD->IMAGE->CD with one app not with some sht like Iso Producer

You also may want to try different media, I dont know about you guys but the last Sony cd-r's i tried were crap. In the old days they were one of the better cd-r's but seem to be of lesser quality now. Try some Verbatim data life plus CD-R's.
