Grandia 2

help . i cant figure out how to patch or fix grandia 2. i download it in rar ed format, extracted it to a bin & cue, just burned it. put the boot disk in , game , played ....worked fine.
now i get a little bit into the game (about 1 hour of play time) it locks up at this part every time. im guessing this is because i never patched. now im trying but i dont know where to start. i got a "file_id.diz" and some text files also. i cant figure it out. iv done ppf patches before ...someone please help
