tony hawk2
When I go make the image, at about 94%, it starts coming up with errors about crc or something and tries to put dummy files in. Even when this finishes about 3 1/2 hrs later and I burn the cd, the game loads to a picture and starts making a funny noise on the tv. This is with dj3. With dj2 I can't even get an image. Have been able to copy other selfboot games before. Have noticed that audio about 300.

If your getiing crc errors when you unrar/unace or whatever then you should try
re-downloading the game. Or getting it from somewhere else.

I have borrowed the game which is already on cd from someone and the game already works. I just can't copy it. I am using a sony crx100e rewritable burner which I have updated the firmware to 1.0n to accept 80 minute cds. When I try to extract to an image I have tried everything.

Fixed it, I used dj 3 and used a good quality cd rather than a cheapie. I heard about the problem with cheap cds now I have experienced it.

This has happened not only with tony hawk 2, but with many games that I download. CRC errors pop up on many of them, and I realized it could be one of a few things.
1. use Win rar (sometimes I get CRC errors with winzip, or with powerarchiver) 2. Make sure all the files are complete. 3. One of the files is corrupted. my tony hawk game had a CRC error, but rather than deleting it, I just simply used winrar and it worked and burned fine. |
