Advice on backing up dvd pc games

Specifically Sims2 dvd, and Lotr battle for middle earth.

Is there a way to make 1 to 1 dvd copies. I tried using clonedvd2 for both of them, to make a back up ...but the games would not start.

any suggestions on where to look...

Thanks in Advance.

Ive always had success with BlindWrite 5.

It makes an image with topography, which you can burn back at a slow speed preferably 1x or 2x, I know it takes a while but at least your getting a good working backup 90% of the time.

CloneDVD2 is only for DVD-Movies, not for Game-DVD! (Or do I err?)

I have used most proggies for backing up and there mostly all good. Some do things better than others of course but one of my all time fav's is Nero. (the Grand Daddy of copy software )
