Verbatim DVD+R and -R

Does it make a difference to a PAL V7-laser if I use Verbatim DVD+R or -R media? After about 300h +R gaming (and maybe 700h Originals) my V3 already shows laser weakness (know they have crap lasers, but didnīt expect it to go that fast), so I want to be on the safe side this time. The UI Sticky says itīs just a matter of reflectivity, do they differ in this or another important aspect that concerns laser life time? And are 4x-Verbatims worse than 8x-Vs? Doesnīt say Datalife or DatalifePlus on the packages in my country, and the manufacturer differs, some are CMC, some Mitsubishi, does that matter? Or should I go for Riteks, even though people say they are not always good any longer? Just bring up this topic again because posts about best PS2-media got very confusing in the last time so I need an update, sorry about that.
