Arrow How can I copy a PS2 game?

I have a son (young) who is constantly messing his games up,and I would like to copy them,so I can keep them.
I have a chip for my PS2,so thats fine,heres what I need to know

I have a YAMAHA CDRW1200W Drive,I want to know if i put a PS2 game in it,can I get the image file from the game,so I can burn it ?
