Making an .avi file play on tv.
Hi,
I have a very large .avi file I would like to be able to watch on my TV rather than my PC. Can anyone tell me if a program exists to convert it to a format I can burn it on DVD to do this? Thanks.

Use TMPEG Encoder and if that doesnt let the avi load up (usually it does) then just use Nero to encode it to a vcd. If its too large to encode to a vcd then have Nero encode it to a dvd.

ulead dvd movie factory will give better quality than nero and i like it better because its has AC3 audio with AC3 you can fit twice as much video on a disc.
example: using lpmc (or whatever it is) you can fit 11 episodes of the simpsons on 1 dvd5 disc with AC3 you can fit 22 episodes of the sompsons on 1 dvd5 disc

The quality of the video wont change for the better no matter what you use.

you can also use canopus pro coder to convert avi to be ready for dvd. then use tmpeg dvd author to author, then burn with the burning app that comes with tmpeg dvd author to burn
