nec nd2500a dvddecrypter problem HELP!

when i start dvd decrypter this error comes up.


I/O Error
Device:[0:0:0](F)

CDB: 12 00 00 00 38 00
Interpretation: Inquiry

Reason: a device attached to the system is not functioning



i don't understand why my burner works on my other programs like record max now,discjuggler,nero,clonecd but not dvddecrypter.

i'm using winxp with all updates.
and dvd writer has the dangerous brothers firmware patch 1.6.

any help appreciated.
