Unlocking Pioneer DVD-120S ROM?

Hey guyz. I have a plextor PX-708A DVD+-RW and a Pioneer DVD-120S ROM. I have no problems ripping DVD movies from my plextor while using dvd shrink v3.1, yet when I try to rip from my pioneer DVD-ROM it gives me the message that the disc is encrypted. I bought the rom for the point that i wont have to keep swapping while backing up movies but this kinda defeats the porpose is there a driver or firmware or program or something I can use to unlock the DVD-ROM so it will rip from it? I checked the pioneer website but couldnt find anything. Thanx.
