Ritec Please Explain

Hi guys. I noticed when people ask whats the best media for burning out there, I see alot of people saying Ritec G03 or G04. It was my ignorance that I went actually looking in shops and could not find any media called Ritec? Anyway its only when i tried using Dvd Decrypter and after inserting a 'Prime Disc' Dvd-r media that I noticed on the program window it says Ritec G04 media found. Uhmm I know this may sound really stupid question to ask but Im going to ask anyway. Is there anyway in knowing before I purchase some media what kind of Ritec disc it is??
On another note, as some of you are aware I never got the problem fixed with my v9 messiah p2 pro ps2 fixed. As some of you are aware I was able to play all my original ps2 games and all of my ps1 backup games on my modded ps2 but failed each time to boot any of my backup ps2 games on it. I dont know of anyone here that has a modded ps2 so I had to ship it back to England for it to be checked out. I'll let you know how I get on. Thanks
