Mitsumi 4802TE USB giving a aspi error

I have a Mitsumi USB that's giving me trouble. When I originally bought it, it was in a USB external case. I removed it from that and installed it in the drive bay. It's worked great for a year. I recently purchased a Plex 12-10-32. Great drive IMHO. So, I reinstalled the Mitsumi in the external case. I'm planning on giving it to my nephew for christmas. It works fine with Nero, CDRWin and Clonecd but Disc Juggler 2.00 gives me an aspi error. Nothing to the program was changed from when it was installed internally. Anyone have any ideas why it would work IDE but not USB? Is there a different aspi layer I should be using? Chkaspi says I'm using the most recent layers. I don't want to try version 3.0 of Juggler because I heard it's not DC ISO friendly.
