Does LBA make a difference

I just burned a copy of a self boot game(converted to iso) and burned it. A little later i saw a patch available that made the lba 11702 instead of its normal 11700. I applied the patch and burned a new cd. I can see both cd's on my cdrom drive and i'm wondering if both would play or only the cd with LBA of 11702.
